FOUNDATION PILAR Y JOAN MIRÓ
Joan Miró was a Catalan painter, sculptor and ceramicist combining abstraction with Surrealist imagination.During his first visit in Paris, he met Pablo Picasso, who had a great impact on his artwork.
Miró went to live in Mallorca in 1959, where he also died 90 years old in 1983. His studio located in Cala Mayor, approx. 3 km from the center of Palma is a museum dedicated to Miró, left untouched since his death.
