ROYAL PALACE OF LA ALMUDAINA
Built on the site of an old Muslim fortress, the monument is located in front of the Cathedral of Mallorca. The gothic palace dates from 14th century and was designed as a place of residence of the Mallorca’s royalty. One of the most popular features of the palace are the terraces and the stunning sea views over the Palma’s bay dominated by the Archangel Gabriel’s statue standing upon the Homage tower. Inside the most impressive are the ‘Patio del Rey’, the Gothic chapel, the Throne room, the Queen’s patio, the Sant Jaume chapel and Arab baths.
